Our host for the WDSF World Championship 2026 is the Slovenski klub nizozemskih ovčarjev.

The Slovenski klub nizozemskih ovčarjev brings together owners, breeders, handlers, and enthusiasts of the Dutch Shepherd breed in Slovenia. Our mission is to promote responsible ownership, preserve the working character and versatility of the breed, and support quality training, sport, and breeding activities.

The club is dedicated to connecting people who share a passion for the Dutch Shepherd — from active sport competitors to family dog owners. Through events, seminars, training, and international cooperation, we aim to strengthen the community and showcase the exceptional intelligence, drive, and versatility of the Dutch Shepherd.

The club is led by Anja Brumec, president of the club, whose dedication and passion contribute to the development and promotion of the breed and the Dutch Shepherd community both in Slovenia and internationally.

From 18th -20th September 2026 the WDSF WC will be held in Maribor, Slovenia.

Set at the foot of the Pohorje and hosted at Play Green Resort, the Dutch Shepherd World Championship takes place in an exceptional natural environment. Surrounded by vast landscapes, Maribor offers excellent conditions for outdoor activities, training, and relaxation—creating the perfect setting for a world-class canine sporting event.
