Meet the Judge!
Samuele Bottaro became an ENCI Expert Judge
in the ENCI Obedience discipline in 2023. Since then, he has judged several national competitions and most recently had the honor of judging the 2025 CAPB (Belgian Malinois Shepherd Dog Social Championship) in the obedience discipline.
During his career, he has trained three dogs of different breeds in classes, achieving important national recognition, such as the Italian Obedience Champion titles with both his Border Collie, Sonny, and his Belgian Malinois, Hammer The Jackhummer, who also won the club championship in 2018 and became vice-champion in 2019. He is currently training in Obedience with his Border Collie, Hayden, with whom he will debut in the future.
Meet the Stewart!
Silvia Alvares became an official ENCI (Italian Kennel Club) steward in obedience in 2022. Since then, she has assisted several judges in national competitions. She also participated as a steward, alongside expert judge Samuele Bottaro, in the 2025 Belgian Shepherd Dog Club Championship.
She and her Golden Retriever, Apache, are currently training for Class 3 in obedience.
